BOY!!! Yup that is right...Daniel & I have a son :) Elijah Luke Davis looks great & is definitely a BOY! The nurse had no problem at all determining the sex of our little one! It seems so much more real now that we can call our son by name...and pray specifically for him!
What a LONG but great day! We found out at 8:30am this morning & had to keep it a secret ALL day till our party at 6:30pm tonight! We invited our entire family (& extended family) over to enjoy the celebration of this little boy! What a sweet time we had together...boy i love our families!
I now can feel Eli moving all around in my belly...which is a great feeling by the way! I will try and post pics from the party soon, but here i am at 18.5 weeks. Yeah i know i am really poking out there...he must have had a growth spurt or something :)
Ok i'm off to bed...i'm exhausted!

confession

In a week and a half i will be halfway through this pregnancy. I have to confess that i am already looking forward to that day when I can sleep on my belly again! Yup that's right...I am a belly sleeper (although Daniel just doesn't see how that is even remotely possible :)). I have been getting slight back pain at night so my sweet husband went out and got me the Snoogle Total Body Pillow. It helps me to stay in place at night (i've been known to roll around) and keeps me off my stomach, but i just don't see how anyone enjoys sleeping on their sides! that's it...
any suggestions you other belly sleepers?

my first...

yup i had a first last week. while we were at krispy kreme doughnuts, a woman stepped out on a limb & said "How far along are you?" I could barely believe my ears! I mean i never ask that question unless it is completely and totally obvious that a woman is pregnant (most likely in her third trimester). it really caught me off guard. I know i am showing but didn't know it was that apparent. I quickly responded and then rushed to the car to tell daniel (i had run in to get a cup of water we forgot to get). Daniel laughed and did reassure me i am not fat, just pregnant or big in the belly! Then this past weekend we were doing our normal grocery shopping at good ole wal-mart, and the cashier ask the same question. Well i will say she hesitated till i turned to the side (and probably stared at me for over a minute) before she asked. I guess it has begun, and i'm sure this will just continue to happen as i get bigger and bigger. i'm embracing it... :)

doctor visit & doughnuts

Today we had our normal check up at the doctor & everything looks great! Baby and I are both doing fine and growing like we should be :). We yet again got to hear our baby's sweet heartbeat...that never gets old! Every time we go in & hear it, i look over at daniel and see him grinning ear to ear (what a proud daddy he already is :)). Since we got such a great report at the doctor's office (and i had only gained 1 pound since our last visit 5 weeks ago) we thought to treat ourselves to something that is best when you eat them Hot & Fresh! Thats right...Krispy Kreme doughnuts. And of course we couldn't just buy one...because that would be just wrong, but rather we bought a dozen. well, i think the picture explains how good they were...woops!

Now on to next friday! Daniel & I are both eager beavers to know what is growing inside of my tummy...a girl or boy!!

yeah a bit busy this week...but we got out tonight & i actually did my hair & make up so i thought what a great opportunity to take a picture. Belly still growing :)

i found this picture (below) that was taken at like 4 to 5 weeks & i still can't get over that I went from that to what I am now and to only think it is going to get BIGGER!!

Ultrasound

today we had an ultrasound (hoping we would find out the sex of our little one). well...he or she did not want daddy & mommy to know just quiet yet! But we did get some really great pictures and got to see him or her move all about. It is so amazing to see how much growth has taken place.

the nurse was amazed at how long our baby's legs are and how big the feet were...yeah i can thank daniel for that one!! our sweet little one is still measuring a week ahead, but the nurse reassured me that is fine. what a great day :)

15 weeks

my belly is slowly growing everyday and i can honestly say i am so surprised by it. When i look down it doesn't seem that big, but as i catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror...well i think WOW and i'm only gonna get bigger! here i am at about 15 weeks (actually 14 weeks & 5 day...still look pretty much the same).

Also in other exciting news...we have finally decided on baby names!! I honestly didn't think that we would agree (well i knew we would but just didn't know when..haha). BUT the catch is...we aren't telling until we find out what we are having, which is 3 weeks from tomorrow! So that's pretty exciting.

14 weeks & Birthday!

here i am at 14 weeks...(oh i posted both sides so you can get the full affect...haha)

It is really hard to believe how much my belly is growing. While running tonight, i definitely felt like it was HUGE even though most people can't even tell i'm preggo yet (oh maybe thats due to the baggy sweatshirts i wear all the time..who knows!). Anyways, i hear in just a few short weeks i will be in the beginning stages of feeling our little one move. So crazy!!

ALSO...today is a very special day because it is my beautiful, most precious sisters birthday! Happy Birthday Leslie :)
