13 Weeks

We made it....through the first trimester!!! Wow I can't believe how fast that went. So i am officially in my second trimester. Everywhere I have read says that the second trimester is the "easiest" (i guess all you preggos or former preggos out there can attest for this). I feel great...Thank you Lord and am truly loving being pregnant. Yeah there are times that it is hard knowing I am getting "big", but it's for the baby & I know that. I did have a good laugh the other day. I got a Victoria Secret & J Crew magazine in the mail...as i flipped through to see the swimsuits for the summer, I quickly realized that I wont be able to fit in any of this stuff come summer!! Kind of a weird thought. Here i am at 13 weeks.

Our baby is somewhere between the size of a peach and a clinched fist. So hard to believe how this little one is growing. I just really want to enjoy this time and not rush anything, because i hear it goes by so fast!
April 3rd is the day we get to see if our little one is a BOY or a GIRL! We are both really excited and can't wait to share the news. I feel like i will be able to do so much more (like monogramming, decorating, picking things out) when we know the sex of this sweet baby! We are having a party for family to spill the big news. Oh i can't wait!!

Thanks to a great friend (and boss) I officially have all my maternity clothes. She is not planning on having more little ones for a few years and really wanted to get rid of her maternity clothes, so now they are hanging in my closet ready for me to wear them (but i'm not rushing it :))
Ok that's all.

cravings

I haven't craved anything so far in my pregnancy until now! You see all I really want is food!!! It doesn't matter where we go or what we eat I just really like to eat right now and I can really down some food...just ask Daniel :). back to the craving...I was driving home from work Thursday night and all I could think about was having a slice (or two) of key lime pie!!!! I mean this is something we NEVER have in our house. In fact the only time I ever eat it is on special occasions when we are at my grandmothers house & she has made one. I've never made one or even had one in my home. So...the craving goes on and I am determined to stick it out a little longer so that I can taste it (my taste is not fully back yet from being sick). This struck my interest & I am curious for all you now or ever before preggos...What did/are you craving??

12 week check-up

Today we visited the doctors office and got to hear our sweet little baby's heartbeat (but not without some pain).  let me explain...daniel and i we were waiting very patiently in our exam room when in walks the nurse.  She has this little device in her had that she was going to press against my stomach and hear the baby's heartbeat.  Oh that's easy (compared to other things they have done to me already)...oh but little did i know that she doesn't just roll it across my stomach, but rather she pushes it into my stomach as hard as she can trying to find that heartbeat.  Well she found mine but after much prying she could not find the baby's.  This is when panic set in for me.  But no worries...daniel is cool, calm, and collected and reassures me everything is going to be ok.  So she brings in the doctor and he does the same thing except he presses even hard...not to mention i had to go to the bathroom so bad!!  Finally he found the precious heartbeat and we all began grinning and and enjoying that sweet sweet sound :) ahh! what a great noise!  Thank you Lord!!!

Lets see...we got our crib this past weekend and it looks great in the nursery.  Daniel and his dad worked very hard on putting it together! Every time i walk in the nursery i am just so overwhelmed at seeing it...its a good feeling! pics to come soon...

I have been sick (from a cold not pregnancy) for the past few weeks and FINALLY i have gotten some relief!  The doctor prescribed me a z pack (which this certain kind is fine for a preggo lady...so all those who began to panic its ok!).  I really just want to get my sense of taste back! I REALLY REALLY REALLY like food right now and i want to be able to savor every bite!

ok that is all for now :)

This is what happens...

when you eat too much for dinner on Valentine's Day...you start to show. Yeah I do have to say this picture was taken right after we ate dinner, but my belly seems to be growing bigger and bigger everyday!
We had a great night.  We went to dinner and a cute movie... New In Town.

11 weeks & changes!

I know this is a day late but i'm doing what i can :)  We are in our 11th week and i'm still feeling great...Praise the Lord! I am starting to regain some energy and am not relying on a nap every day, although i do enjoy them when i get a chance.  The baby seemed to have a growth spurt this past weekend.  I have developed this little bump.  I know some of you are thinking how is that possible since you are only in your 11th week...well i have proof!  Now i do need to say that right before this picture was taken, i did shuffle in a peanut butter & banana sandwich.  So here is what I am looking like at 11 weeks!
other things that have begun happening are dreams. The past few nights I have had the CRAZIEST dreams and i can remember almost EVERYTHING. So crazy!
The baby is definitely getting some good food...like this morning. 2 whole wheat pancakes, 2 eggs, lite syrup & a class of orange juice!!

well that's all for now!

10 weeks

Not much progress even though i do feel my pants getting a bit tighter in the stomach area.

I learned a very valuable lesson this past Sunday while visiting my parents church. You see I enjoy closing my eyes during praise songs to fully engage in worshipping our Lord (personal preference...). Anyways, as i closed my eyes this past Sunday, I realized pretty quick that i was going to loose my balance. I have heard that your sense of balance is off when you are pregnant but I also have to contribute some of this to the fact that I was in about 2 1/2 to 3 inch hills. As soon as i realized that i might fall over, i was reminded that Daniel was not beside me since he was out of town this weekend shooting pics. Oh no i thought...who is going to catch me? My 87 year old grandmother was on one side & I surely didn't want to fall on her! Bradford (my sisters boyfriend) was on the other side..which would be kind of awkward if i just fell on him! I opened my eyes immediately and seemed to catch my balance. Whew!! That could of been really embarrassing! I guess i did learn my lesson...
