the park

This is where we will be spending a good bit of our time for the next couple of weeks. The cooler temperatures are quickly approaching, so I want to make sure E is parked out! So far he is going not stop as soon as his feet hit the pavement.
and lastly...my fav :) look at E's half grin!

Tonight I got brave enough (after one to many comments about how long E's hair is) and gave him his first hair cut! Eeeek!

13 months fun!

A little late on this because Eli will be 14 months soon, but here are a few photos from 13 months! I am only allowing myself a few minutes to put these up because I have to be very productive today! (lots to do).

Oh and we are running our half on saturday...will post on that when I can!

We went to the Fall Festival last weekend.

Throwback...

Okay not that far back!
I was searching through our pictures to find some for the upcoming wedding (D&B), and came across these. Not sure if I ever shared them or not.

You see, now that Daniel & I are the ones behind the camera, we don't seem to get many pictures of the two of us. Before though we were taking the pics, we decide to have some done. Erin Nolen did a great job! This was over 2 years ago (WOW how time flies when your having fun!). Hope you enjoy!

ps apparently we not only like each other a whole lot, BUT we also like to kiss :) sorry in advance for all the smooches!

Did I mention?

Eli started walking on August 25th. This was just before his 1st birthday. I have been meaning to get a video up, but honestly keep putting it off. This morning while he was playing and I was enjoying my warm cup of oh-so-delicious coffee, I grabbed my phone and shot a video. This is too funny! He's chatting, playing "shy", pooping & then running away from the camera :) enjoy!

btw...had to do 3 separate videos because when emailing, they were too large (this is all one video though)

We have less than 3 WEEKS!!!!! WE ARE PUMPED!

And of course I couldn't have a post without little guy. I took this today after church with the iphone (left the camera in the car)

Happy Fall Y'all!

I love this time of year! It is just truly breath taking. Nothing like the changing of seasons.

Today, Eli & I along with the Fischers set out for some apple picking. You see myself nor my son had ever done this before. It was fun (although Eli refuses to be held except on the shoulders, so he was into everything..even the geese poo). Sadly, Daniel couldn't join us for he had a class, BUT I know next year we will be sure to go when he can!

(this first picture is out of focus. we asked a sweet girl to take our picture and this is what we got...it's better than nothing =)).

Thanks Fischer's for such an enjoyable time!!

Running Update

I mentioned a little while back that we have been training for a half. Well in 4 1/2 weeks we will be running our first one! EEEKKK! To say I am excited is an understatement.

In case you might not know, a half marathon is 13.1 miles.

Saturday will be an 8 miler for us.

I think I love running so much for many reasons (ie the way I feel, it gives me time to think, it's good for the heart etc) BUT I really believe my favorite reason for running is that my husband loves it too, and loves to run together. It is important for couples to find things they enjoy doing together. This is one of ours.

And I must say our sweet little bundle of joy is such a good boy while we run. He loves the changing of scenery, the bicyclist & roller bladers (yes it is CRAZY how many people roller blade up here. D & I are convinced it is because of hockey) passing by.

Right down the road from where we live there is a 9 to 10 mile loop. Its a really beautiful run. Refreshing, ever changing and flat out enjoyable. It makes running worth it.

This past Saturday as we set out for our long run, we noticed an influx of people. There typically are more people out there early on a Saturday morning, BUT this Saturday it was crazy. As we got to running, we approached people cheering and passing out drinks. Come to find out, it was people training for the Chicago marathon next month (the one we were suppose to run in but it filled up the day we signed up...ugh...not bitter just wish we were running in it).

Okay thats it. I'm exhausted and my bed is calling my name.

*On the M.O.V.E*

warning: lots of pictures below with my random ramblings in between

Little man is loving to walk/run on his own.

In fact, it is becoming more difficult to get pictures of him now unless of course he is being held...which he is wanting less of these days :(.

So I need to be honest here. I {almost} lost it this morning as I dressed him for church. Putting him in those jeans made me realize he is LESS of a baby now and
MORE of a toddler. Our little guy is growing up, and as much as I want him to grow, it is breaking this mama's heart!

I mean he even has big boy shoes. But this is life.

Since we seem to have so few *family* photos because well...lets be honest...madie (our boxer) is not exactly qualified to snap a picture :), here is our best attempt.

Love this last one of my boys!

Okay not much to say here tonight BUT did want to share some recents photos. More posts to come throughout the week!
