I feel like everytime I write on here it consists of updates, so i did not want to title this post UPDATES like all the other one's.
Anyways, I know I have not written in a while due to LIFE but I do want to inform you about a few new things. We went to Wheaton, IL a couple weeks ago to be officially appointed as TEAM missionaries. This process consisted of taking a test and meeting/interviewing with about 8 to 10 different people. The other day we got an email confirming that we are officially appointed and there are absolutly no concerns. WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!! Our trip was extremely informing and affirming! We learned how much support we will need each month and even our one time gifts. While we were there, Daniel and I both felt that God was truly confirming to us that this is what He has called us to do! We will be back up there in about 3 weeks for our canadate school--I am SUPER excited!!! Then in November we will be in France for 2 weeks. All the plans have been set in place for that which it wonderful!!!
In other news, Madie (our baby) is growing so big! I just took her to the doctor and she weighs 40.2 lbs. I love her so much even though the other day she chewed up my favorite pair of shoes from Ann Taylor, yes I said MY FAVORITE PAIR.
I heard a quote from a child the other day that almost--ok it did bring tears to my eyes:
Dogs are wonderful because you can leave them in a cage all day, and as soon as you get home and let them out, all they want to do is give you kisses and show you love. I thought that is pretty sweet!!
I don't know how much time I will have to update this blog because we have been assigned a lot of reading and studying to do on church planting, roman catholicism, Islam, new age, secularism, spiritism and much more from our visit to TEAM. This is going to be wonderful and we have already begun!!
I will post pictures from all our adventures...please be in prayer for us!

Everyday life
I really could not think of anything to write, so I will update you on our exciting lives...

In less that one week, Daniel and I will be boarding a plane together for the first time. I want to stop and make a side note...In December, Daniel and I will have been together for 5 years so we have done ALOT together. Very rarely now are there things that we have not done as a couple, so this is exciting (well not really for me but for Daniel). I have flown oodles of times that I cant even begin to count how many, but Daniel has NEVER flown. Oh and did I mention I am not a fan of flying...it scares the heck out of me. So, this next week should be quiet the experience!
In other news, our support has been coming in rather quickly and it has honestly caught us off guard...shows how much faith we have in Christ. We sent out almost 200 letters to family and friends and God has really burdened their hearts to join with us in what He is doing in France. I think it is so exciting.
We bought our plane tickets tonight for our trip to France in November which was super fun! Daniel's eyes became enormous when he found out that he got to pick his seats on the plane. He has been talking about it for weeks how he want to get a window seat...and he did on all 4 flight! Yeah, i'll just close my eyes and hope to fall asleep while he enjoys himself.
Training for the marathon is going really well...we have 10 miles on Saturday. Our running is really paying off...my pants that have always been tight we actually loose today...yeah!
Anyways, I think that is about it...Madie is growing bigger everyday. Here are picture of the first day we got her and what she looks like now...I love her so much!

One year ago

One year ago today(well actually Aug 12 which was yesterday) I became Mrs. Daniel Davis. I can't believe we have already been married for a year but I will say it gets better everyday! Daniel is amazing and I could not imagine life without him...so this is to you Daniel--Happy Anniversary!

The RACE is on
(This is a picture of Lane, Me, and Lindsey after we did a 5k for the Church)As of Saturday...we have begun training for The Rocket City Marathon. We have not officially entered the marathon, but we will. Saturday we ran 4.25 miles. We are following a schedule that we found in Runner's World Magazine that is really helpful. Today was "suppose" to be our crosstraining day of working out at the gym, but we opted to run outside for 30 min instead and will switch it with another day. We are excited and MOTIVATED!! YEAH it has been a while!

Never said before
I honestly thought that I would never say this but....I COMPLETELY WANT TO BE GOING "BACK TO SCHOOL" soon like everyone else. Since I am on staff at our Church as the Children's Ministry Assistant I am obviously around kids who are getting ready to start school. As much as I wanted to get out of school...my desire to go back right now is overwhelming!!!
Not that I don't enjoy my job, or the fact that we are pursuing missions...there was just something so right with going to school everyday and not having to sit at a desk 8 to 5. I would not say that I want to go back to high school or even middle school for that, but more so college. SEBC is truly my home and I already miss the students and professors that I got to see each and everyday (not to mention what was being studied).
As I look back I think yeah those times in the middle of the semester when everything is pilling up on you and you are thinking that the world will come crashing down is truly a horrible feeling. And in that very moment I can say I felt horrible, but now I want those situations. Anyways I feel like I am rambling....
Don't get me wrong...I am very excited to see what God has in store for Daniel and I as we become missionaries in France. Hey and we get to go to school over there!!! yeah I can't be a professional student all my life...I have to grow up sometime. I do enjoy the memories and friendships that were made at SEBC and will keep them with me wherever I go!

Sleep is GOOD!!
Last week was an extremely exciting but also draining week...we had VBS at our Church where many kids came to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. Praise God for that!! I was at the Church(or working) long hours last week, so this past week I got to take off Monday and Tuesday.
I have not slept later than about 8 (maybe 8:30 at times unless of course I was up really late the night before which is not very likely if you know me) since high school, but I slept till 10:30 on Monday and 10:00 on Tuesday. WOW do I feel refreshed!
I hit the gym early this morning (waking up at 4:45) and feel wonderful...so I say all of this to tell you that if you cant get up early or are constantly feeling tired, take a couple of days off and sleep in. It really helps (or at least it helped me)

something new...

Today I did something I haven't ever done before...I went and got a mystic tan. It was quiet the experience (ask me if you are planning on doing this so i can prepare you before you go). Daniel and I are having our mission's picture made tomorrow, and since I am in the office all week and my skin never see's the sun...i had to get a tan!! There was not enough time to go to the tanning bed or ever lay out at the pool so the next best option was to get a spray tan. My dad will be so proud of me (he hates any form of sun tanning because he does not want me to get skin cancer which is understadable, but I really dont think he realizes how much a mystic tan costs.)
On a different subject I wanted to update you on our mission status...as the previous post says, we did get accepted!!! We are going to chicago at the end of august to be appointed (which is going to be quiet the experience in its because daniel has never flown on an airplane, and although i flew all the time growing up my love for flying has greatly decreased to no love at all) Anyways, we have started our contact database and have begun putting together our material as we raise support. We will be going to France for 2 weeks in November and cant wait!!

We got....
ACCEPTED!! yeah...we are so excited that we got accepted to TEAM to be missionaries in France!!! We could not be any happier, but know that raising our support is not going to be easy.
On a different note...we had a fun filled weekend (well i guess this depends on who you ask. I had a blast but daneil...not so much) Our good friends Clint and Theresa said "I DO" on Saturday. We were privileged enough to witness their unforgetable ceremony. Here are pictures from the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.
oh...here is my new hair cut too!!!
