We are in the process of filling them out so pray for us because it is alot of work! also we are still very excited about doing mission's for the Lord! One last thing, Daniel has finally gotten into blogger and created another link called Our Journey to Missions on the side bar, so it will keep you informed on what is going on...read it and enjoy!

Madie Grace

Daniel and I drove for about an hour and 45 minutes this weekend to get our new puppy! She is a boxer, 6 weeks yesterday, and absolutly adorable!!! There were 10 puppies in the litter and we got Madie, and Lindsey (my brothers girlfriend) got Sadie her sister.

Since my parents are out of town we are keeping Buddy for them, and Madie thinks that Buddy is her mommy (but really he is her Uncle), while Buddy just doesn't know what to think of little Madie, since he has been the only dog for a while! I actually took her to my classes this morning and chapel where she slept the whole time until someone wanted to hold her. She has been GREAT!!

Quote for the day...

"If your heart takes more pleasure in reading novels, or watching TV, or going to the movies, or talking to friends, rather than just sitting alone with God and embracing Him, sharing His cares and His burdens, weeping and rejoicing with Him, then how are you going to handle forever and ever in His presence...? You'd be bored to tears in heaven, if you're not estatic about God now!"

One Week...

WE DID IT...Daniel and I have officially been in our new apartment for one week and we love it! It is not anything big, but it is quiet cozy and perfect for two (and maybe a dog..hopefully soon!) We have moved pretty much everything except a couple of little things, but it finally feels like home. Come by anytime and visit because we would love to have company (but you should probably call first)!

  • Also, on a side note we finished our application to the mission's agency and are just waiting to hear back, and then we will continue with the process.
  • Another side note: I finished my 3 midterm exams and got 3 A's ...wow was I excited and glad they are over!

God DEFINITELY has a sense of humor

I dont think i fully understood this phrase until just these past few weeks. All along Daniel and I had been planning for him to go to grad school while i got a job and paid his way through school. We were diligent in our prayer(and still are) about where God would lead us after i graduate in may, so we thought for sure that it was Chicago but little did we know...ok if you dont already know then you are probably telling yourself that you wished i would just get to the point!

We have felt lead to do missions. Ah i know what you are thinking (or at least i was saying that to myself). You mean be a missionary?? who me?? no way...those are people who live in a really far place with no running water or the internet in a hut made of sticks (ok maybe that is a little too far but you get the point). I always thought it was exciting to see what missionaries are doing, but to be one is totally different.

So when daniel and i felt that God was calling us to do this i honestly just wanted to laugh....it was funny to me. But the more and more i prayed and thought about it, it became real and very exciting to take part in the work that Christ is doing! So this week we are applying to the missions agency and everything that goes with that (it will probably take a year for everything--Lord willing!) SO PLEASE PRAY FOR US!!!

....on a side note we are moving into our new apartment on Wednesday (i am pumped!) Pictures will be up very soon!

little joys in life...

My mom suprised me tonight with something that is so amazing and has lots of chocolate and calories...GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!!! No just any, but tagalongs...those are my favorite (two of them are already in my belly). If you havent ever had them then you are missing out!

Husband Story...

I just wanted to take a second and let you know why my husband is so amazing...This might seem really silly to you, but Daniel did the laundry tonight (which is nice itself). See I have these 2 particular pairs of jeans that can not be dried (the man at the store told me not to dry them so i dont). I was hesitant to buy them because i knew Daniel does laundry alot and might not remember to pull them out of the washer, and i just didnt want to deal with that....but of course i got talked into buying them.

Anyways continuing on with the story...I went to use the restroom while Daniel did the clothes, and lo and behold when i came back to our room my jeans were hung out to dry. A smile came over my face because Daniel remembered not to dry them in the dryer...i love the fact that he knows me so well!! THE END!

Just in time...

(This is not what our thank you notes looked like, but i wanted to experiment with photoshop some more...this is a real picture of the back of our car as we drove off!)

Daniel and I just finished something that has been on my mind for over 6 months now...OUR THANK YOU NOTES!!!! We are so excited that we dont even know what to do!!! The rule (or at least what i have heard) is that you have 6 months after you get married to send out your thank you notes, and guess what...Monday will be our six month anniversary! Talk about waiting till the very end...oh well i am just thrilled that they are done!
